Ja Natürlich ! well Wesley is a better man to explain What I can say is that the walls of the room disappear and you get a nice special tone. Now I am no expert to explain, but I believe the birdhouses resonate a certain frequency enhancing stimulation to the sound you are hearing and making it more live. tomatamot, it could be a joke if you don't have an open mind . david got it kinda right . i'm shooting for spatial dimension. it's sort of a way to trick your brain into thinking that you're in a big concert hall. my reference is classical music and i'm trying to create a large concert hall feel. our brains pick up cues that tell us we're in a big space because of reverberant sound. i use shun mook to create the space and to make the walls disappear and the birdhouses are used to enhance the effect and also to create sonic cues. so in reality, you create your own sonic cues and you trick your brain. the ultimate hi-fi challenge is to create (and MOVE) the sound you want, but not by changing equipment. as david has seen in my crazy demos, i can move the soundscape (i don't use the term soundstage because it is too hi-fi'ish) by moving shun mook, birdhouses, wooden jewellry boxes, etc. don't let equipment and the sound control you, the trick is to control the sound .

at least let me try the baby ones i have 6 of them and you can come over and take the whole lot . my friend, don't waste you time. the big one i made takes it to another level. the best baby i came up with is only 1/2 of what the big one can do. don't waste your time, I HAVE, so go for the big one. just for your info.... the first tank near the outlet of the pump does do a little dampening, however NOT enough. you need another one that is damped, but holds plenty of air for good flow. maybe the more the merrier, however there is a limited as to how far you can go and how much patience you have. you can hook up a string of 6 babies, then you tell me..... but due to your space limitations, i would damp the first tank first. better yet, switch the tank to a damped one first, then if you get itchy, try the undamped in series with a damped one and see what you decide on. and if you find a more better combination, then tell me and also how many more gray hairs you've grown .

I say bring the whole lot over and I will try and cook a nice dinner I think my main tank is already damped its the original Airtech one which was made for the ET arm. I am certainly interested to try your big one and see what improvement it will bring.

Why series undamped and damped? why not all damped?

Thanks to Wesley for being so patient and providing me the two damped surge tanks. Basically I now have a damped surge tank connected to my pump and a baby damped surge tank right next to the T3pro. The effect gives better clarity with noticeable depth and extensions to the sound. A very nice refinement. Now I am thinking plugging back my original large surge tank feeding into the Wesley damped surge tank feeding into the baby damped surge tank here is the main damped tank and here's baby

Hei, David, that mean you prefer the air pressure as low as possible? right?

Hei, David, that mean you prefer the air pressure as low as possible? right? For both MG1 and also Terminator, the air pressure should be reduced to minimum - this is to reduce vibration to the arm. The air pressure blowing against the slider will cause vibrations. The rule of thumb is normally to set the air pressure as normal, then reduce until the arm stops tracking, then turn the air pressure back up ever so slightly until the arm starts tracking again. You will find that the sound is much more transparent and better refinement, once you have the air pressure dialed in properly.
