  Hello evry body,

Few months ago, my daughter violin teatcher ask me how to get a good and not expansive turntable. I had a B55 and a platter and bearing of L75 and a SME III with no use, I do that:

Hello Pascal.
And welcome  grin
Now that is another wonderful example of a true transformation.
Beautiful.
Would you let us know, how you managed to mount the SME onto the B55 top plate?
Best wishes
Chris

P.S.: Rhetorical question: does she like it  wink

Well, the SME is not on the top plate but on the chassis.

Hi, Pascal
how did you fix the underneath of idler arm, glued or welded?
there is an active topic right now about rigidity vs flexibility of the idler arm.
would love to hear your experience
best,

  Hi Andrey,

It is fixed with araldite epoxy, it the seconde time what I do this, and it is better than before, it is doing with 0,8 mm aluminium, easy to do and very rigide.

Agreed, and strikingly modern for a B55!  Congratulations.

Hello evrybody,

Her is the grid I installed to protect motor and connections, while maintaining good ventilation. We can see the weight of idler arm down.
