Just ordered a Jico SAS stylus for my Technics EPC-205CMK3 which still has it's original boron pipe cantilever - will be interesting to compare. It probably is my favourite MM.

Malcolm, is there still a 1 month delay for SAS?
I was heard yesterday that the SAS for my Shure M75 has just been posted - I ordered it 8th December.

Hi Malcolm,I have a 205C-IIL,the L stands for low impedance. The original stylus cantilever is tapered pipe titanium. The original stylus still has plenty of life left, but I was curious about the SAS also.I have owned the SAS stylus for a few months now,but It only has about 8 hours on it so far,I have a few other cartridges that I like to use.
I guess the SAS will improve with more hours.I noticed the SAS has a little cleaner sound with more detail, but I like the overall presentation of the original stylus better. It has a more natural tone quality and the dynamics are better to me.I think Technics used very good quality cantilever designs in the top models. It would be interesting to hear the original Technics with a retip.Maybe a better more advanced stylus on the original cantilever would be a nice upgrade.

Haven't heard anything yet - but the checkout process was a mess, I got 8 emails back all with different order numbers, glad I payed by Paypal so there was only one payment

Jico's home page: http://www.export-japan.com/marketing/stylus/index.php is still showing SAS to be a back order item

Thanks Mike - glad I'm in no hurry Yeah, luckily I already have a SAS on my Shure V15 IV, but I thought I would see what one sounds like on the M75.

Wilbewill, how is your Jico stylus for the V15-IV?
François sent one to me that he'd bought around a year or so ago; the brush is visibly defective. I hope that yours is better. I'm puzzled.

Richard, I bought the V14-IV 2nd hand and have never used the original (used) stylus that came with it. I have however dug it out and compared it with the SAS. The brush on the Shure seems to move a bit more freely than the SAS, although there's not a lot in it. Playing a record, both styli sound good, but I feel the SAS requires slightly heavier tracking than the Shure. According to the latest edition of Hi-Choice (Feb 2010) Expert Stylus charge £10 for a MM cartridge inspection service (£30 for MC). At that price I may send them the V15-IV with the original stylus for an opinion.
