Good result - Keep us posted Jean as to your build up based on the schematic and any mods you make.

Once you are happy, pass the schematic over and I will have a go too grin

Another snippet from Sander.

The oscillator circuit is fine as it is in my diagram.
for 220 volt use, I suggest a power amp with a bit more headroom than the single chip job that's in your unit.

Thanks, Jean.  Anybody have the know-how to draw these up in a way that those of use who are not electronics engineers can read them?  Or if someone can draw them up clearly by hand I can copy them into CAD and make PDFs.

Well, I can turn them in to proper schematics, but might be worth having a word with Sander first. The second version looks like a later one, but the amplifier used (TDA2616) looks to be obsolete, from a brief search, so it might be worth understanding what prompted the change ... undecided

Hi Graeme,
Sander is more than happy for members to build these using his design (see further up the thread).

Those who were at the meet may have noticed my surprise at the difference the controller made to the sound - as in all you lot upstairs get down to the main room and listen to this!  My surprise was because I had never heard such a difference in my own system.  Plugging things back together the other day the obvious dawned on me, I have all my hi fi  bar the power amps going through an Isotek minisub which is probably doing a decent clean up of the mains before it gets to the Lenco.  As I've said before, my main reason for using the controller is that I can have fixed position idler arms so getting rid of a lot of levers beneath the plate.  Add the shear convenience for switching to 45 rpm for the occasional 12 incher and its an almost compulsory item in my set up.

Cheers, Ian

I've contacted Sander and he's happy for me to redraw the schematic (and he'll check it as well), so I'll get on with that and post the results shortly!  cheesy

Looking forward to it. As mentioned elsewhere, my Schulz PS was the next step to sophisticated playback.

Excellent Nigel.  After Grahams post I took my original and started to draw it in Visio.  Then I realised I didn't know half the symbols and thought better of it!  Think of the damage I could have caused never mind the loss of life embarrassed.

Would the original help you in the task?

Cheers, Ian

All chant: "Come on Nigel, come on Nigel......"

Looking forward to this as it will change the design I have in my head for the NOS Lenco project (hoping to start in the new year!) being able to change the speed electronically - as in less mechanical moving parts shocked
