Thanks David, lots of hard work. The big Cans are the original Steel cans that came with the each TX, then well fettled with car body filler etc & painted with copper spray paint.
The 2 cans (for the Partridge SUT's) at the back are Aluminium tubes (from an old TV stand) the same tube as the legs for the deck, again with filler & copper paint
The 3 valve covers are Real Copper tubing just polished to 600 wet n dry, each cover is Earthed together, & back to the main earth.

Top Draw effort Jay. I know it will be very well received and enjoyed at your meet up. Wish I was there having a foot tap along.

It looks stunning! It is very nice with the turntable and the preamplifier in the same style. And, a quite unique style! Well done!

Hope you'll enjoy the sound on Saturday, as Roberts PSU is back in & giving the correct voltages now. Keith, hope you'll make it.

It most certainly does sound good, In fact Im already getting used to it. The whole system is sounding very 'musical' & not just very clean, quiet, accurate, but a bit sterile as so many high end systems can often be.
It would have been very nice to have had an input from the peeps at the recent Cotswold meet, but due to a very inexplicable kind of fast ticking noise the 834 was picking up (never heard anything like it befor) the 834 couldn't show what it can do.
Back home All is sweetness with no issues just good sounds.
It must be quite close in it's music representation as yours is John.

This how I will make knobs for the 834 I take a plastic bottle cap & cut out its centre leaving just the top lip. Fit a big marble & hold it in place with hot glue. Fill the gap with air drying Das clay smooth & let it dry. The base is a roll of sellotape/scotch tape, that just happens to the right size & again the gap is filled with the same Air dry clay. When properly dry It will need to be tidied up & smoothed. This is the positive that will be used to make the mold from silicon. More tomorrow

Most likely Wi-Fi Router/Bluetooth/Mobile phone interference/noise .

You could well be right Chris, As their were probably upto 8 mobile phones in the room + all of Ian's digital sources in close proximity. As I recall when trying to take pics of the insides when the 834 was up & running moving my mobile close created some nasty sounds.

Back to the knobs. First we need, a bowl some washing up liquid some cold water & some silicon. Squirt in the silicon, squidge between fingers for a few mins & it's ready to take a positive piece to mould from. I used a steel cone receptacle to contain the silicon. Presed the positive into the silicon & left for a couple of hrs. Then used the Polydoh to make the knob from by heating it & squeezing it into the mould. Needless to say it didn't work quite as well as it could off. But the minor problems can now be eliminated so that the next ones should come out just as they should do.
