Piero, did you manage to dig out the manual at X-mas time?  It would be nice to have a gander at it.  grin

Sorry Andy, the manual wasn't in the amp box at my mum's place, so it must be with my other things which are in storage in London, and we didn't have time to go there sad

Andy, you do know about the service manual here?
It's a bit hard to read though...

I  first saw one of these at the Harrogate hi-fi show in 1981. Since then I have lost it after one but have not found one until a couple of weeks ago, in Denmark of all places. The plan is to use the amplifier in my summer house in Denmark with a pair of Yamaha NS 1000 (if the wife will let me). Currently the amp is with a friend who has access to state of the art measuring equipment and is very well qualified electronics engineer. He has promised to measure it through to ascertain the state of it and the kind of work that needs to be done to it  (though I think they probably won’t be much, if any).
In that connection, it would be useful to have schematic diagrams of the amplifier, but I have been unable to locate any on the Internet. Can any of you help with schematics?

Just starting to fit new binding posts to my amps.  The distance across the wings is greater than the hole pitch  huh but they will fit as they will not all lock up at the same point, or if they do I will add a packing washer  to vary the lock up point. They were good value, not often something associated with hifi components £28.22 ex vat per pair! Made from gold plated copper. Nice.

Have you checked the reduction in size - from Green to Yellow -
to see if it will interfere with connecting the RCA cables?

It won't be an issue for me as I normally only use my MC input, though I could use MM if I changed to my Soundsmith Otello or my Empire 2000Eiii . I do have a CD player which only gets very occasional use that fits into Aux very easily so that's fine. I do use Tape 1 In and Out to connect the amps together and I have tried my twin screened phono cables in those positions and although a bit of a squeeze under the new posts they fit well. I have a raft of mods to do to the amps and I've no intention of ever selling them so all is well.  grin

Forgot to mention I'm going to cut a slot between the + & - speaker terminals to prevent eddy currents and mutual coupling. Might do it to the phono terminals as well.

What is the crosstalk between the two channels caused by Eddy currents? (In dB)

What is the crosstalk between the phono input jacks, considering that the phono input signal is absolutely minuscule?

Are those modifications going to improve anything, considering that a typical phono cartridge barely manages 30dB of stereo separation on a good day?
