Does anyone have any experience with this?
I've been searching for a new cd player and a dac that could better the one built in to my Hegel H90 integrated. Feature-wise the Audiolab ticks all the boxes. It even has analogue inputs so I could keep my cassette deck in the system.
I can't find many reviews online and I have no experience of Audiolab gear. No dealer nearby has it, so can't test it.
Is this the Swiss army knife it appears to be? Or is that too good to be true?

There's a thread over on Art of Sound which might be of interest to you.

Thank you ian. That didn't appear in my Google search. Looks promising.  smiley

Simon

Did you buy? Thinking of getting one to partner my new 8300 amp; I can use the CDQ as a pre-amp and the 8300 as a power amp, I can use the DAC to play tv etc, hook up my cassette deck again and have a headphone socket, so as you say, not just a CD player.

Would welcome your observations; don't want to lose sight at the end of the day I'm primarily after a better cd player...

Thanks

Hi Simon,
I don't know if it can be useful. I have been the happy owner of an Audiolab CDT 6000 (only CD Transport) for a week. From what I know, the mechanics are the same and I can assure you that it's perfectly fine.
