I'm working on a similar system, but like Rene, I will use a switch box to allow more than one input to the radio.

Ideal for auditioning a few new-to-me mono discs, or (sacrilege!) playlist streaming.

Good work with the marmalade, how long before you can try it?   smiley ...

A switch box is very useful and so easy to DIY.

The marmalade? Now we just have to wait for it to cool down. Tomorrow's breakfast is decided. occasion14

So much fum to listen to old fashion Rock and Roll on suitable fifties audio.
It is a re-issue, but they kept it mono of course.

Rockabilly at its best. Few know that "Susie Q" was a song written by Hawkins and Robert Chaisson, most identify it with Credence Clearwater Revival

A coincidence, and surprise for me was Suzie Q is featured on the Stones second lp.

1960s Mono Stones lps can be an endangered species, being as they probably went to a lot of parties!  The three I've shown did not play well with a stereo cartridge, and the state of the sleeves meant they did not qualify for display either.

They came in useful for testing Dansette suitcase players, and sounded pretty good in this one -

Fast forward to today, and my newfound interest in mono playback in my main system.

The Ronette loves the Stones   cool

The first Stones, until 1975, are the best IMO.

I'm from Bartok to Bartók

I have never been into Stones (Beatles neither).

Ah, nice Bartok, have that one too.
Love his string quartets (but on cd and of course they become mono).

Classic and impressive movie, music suits to it. Bombastic of course.

Reminds me of something.
