Perhaps a little acetone to see if it'll soften the glue's molecular bonds?

It's always a bit of a gamble if you don't know what kind of glue it is, but I don't see how acetone will damage the platter. I've used it to clean bearings and bushings

Other LH users can jump in if they know of a better one to suggest

Well it turns out it was a very simple job after all. I noticed it had raised slightly at one side so I dribbled a little lighter fluid in there and waited a few minutes. Then I prised it off with a small screwdriver. A tiny bit of enamel came off but I’m not worried about that.

It was a very weird white, sticky residue. Maybe something like crafts glue. I’m not sure really.

Not a bad result! Carpet tape... whoever did that is resourceful but maybe not the best type of resourceful laugh

Yes, they really didn't like the centre depression. If I remember correctly it is present on every single Lenco platter and it isn't often mentioned as a problem here on the forum. I certainly never felt the need to raise the middle up. Not an issue for you of course

Looking forward to seeing the project in full – unless you've posted it already?

My project is quite a few years old now. I think it’s on here somewhere along with my L59. Will try to find it.

I’ve just been tweaking little bits and pieces down the years. That wobble was really starting to do my head in. All sorted now.
