«

Going through my old storage, I've found another gl75 which has a different motor housing.
It is difference to others I've seen, had anyone any information about this type?

Hello,
that version of the motor was used from late 1970 until spring 1972. The reason why Lenco did this version is unknown so far.
Kind regards
Max

Thank you Max, another mystery, I just couldn't find any information anywhere. My deck came fitted into a portable disco unit with a commercial amp fitted. I thought it might have been a little more industrial for practical reasons, protect it from dust/heavy handling etc.

Oh, the heavy solid version without the windows. Yeah you don’t see those very often. It might be they were cast on different tooling. Lenco’s were made in a few different countries for a while, presumably to keep up with demand. Variations in platters occurred as well depending on where they were cast.
