Hello All.

Having bought two pairs of oilite bushings many years ago ready for when I finally needed to change them, and my record player now being in need of a tidy-up and general service, I've recently been wondering whether doubling up the bushings up would improve or make worse the main bearing.

My thinking is that on the one hand doubling them up might reduce play. But on the other hand doubling them up risks making the bearing noisier.

I can't find any other comments on this: hence this thread.

I suspect I might end up trying it, and if I do I'll obviously report back.

But I wondered if anyone had thoughts on the matter?
